Fujifilm continues to bring its globally recognized tape engineering and manufacturing expertise to the storage market with this latest generation of LTO media. The Fujifilm LTO Ultrium Gen 4 media will feature 800 gigabytes (GB) native capacity and transfer rates of up to 120 megabytes (MB) per second (depending on drive and data type).

HP C5141F DLT4 is a Digital linear Tape 4(DLT-4) format tape cartridge. It has a 557 meters tape length which enables a native data storage capacity of 40GB that can be expanded upto 80GB when compressed. It has an archival life of 30 years. HP C5141F tape cartridge is recommended for use with all DLT 4 and VS80 tape drives. It is also read compatible with SDLT tape drives.

One of the biggest advantages of tape is its cost-effectiveness. Its a low-cost option for long-term storage, so it can help keep spending in check.
LTO-5 tape solutions can trim costs even further, without compromising results. LTO-5 offers improved performance over previous generations and provides better transfer rates for the price. Even with hardware-based encryption, it can store up to 3 TB of data on a single cartridge in less than three hours.

Quantum is another company that produces LTO tapes. This Quantum product, the MR-L3MQN-01 is an LTO-3 tape. The MR-L3MQN-01 has a 400 GB native and 800 GB compressed capacity. Transfer rates applicable to the MR-L3MQN-01 LTO-3 tape media are 80 MB/s native and 160 MB/s compressed. The MR-L3MQN-01 is compatible with LTO-3 and LTO-4 tape media, it is not however compatible with LTO-1 and LTO-2 tape drives.

Maxell’s 183906 is a Linear Tape-Open 4(LTO-4) format tape cartridge. It has a tape length of 820m which enables a native data storage capacity of 800GB that can be expanded up to 1600GB when compressed.

HP’s C7973A is a Linear Tape-Open 3(LTO-3) format tape cartridge. It has a tape length of 680m which enables a native data storage capacity of 400GB that can be expanded up to 800GB when compressed.
